School information
All are welcome
The Harlekijn is a member of the SKPO and one of seven primary schools in Son en Breugel.
The school has approximately 180 children distributed over 8 classes. The inflow of new school children is stable. Our school children predominantly come from 't Zand and De Vloed estates and also form the centre of Son. The number of foreign language children is growing as is the cultural diversity in the school.
The school works closely together with Korein Kinderplein. Korein Kinderplein provides childcare for the children outside of school times. The day care facility for children from 0 -4 years is now housed in the Ruysdaelstraat. The cooperation with Korein Kinderplein is expected to increase in the near future so that the daycare for children from 0 – 4 years will be moved to the school itself. For more information please refer to www.koreinkinderplein.nl.
The school is connected with the local environment. Brainport region in Eindhoven is a challenging and dynamic region where high-tech, design, high quality production, entrepreneurship and internationalization are key. This offers opportunities for our children. There is a requirement us to generate ambitions in these areas. As an aspiring brainport school, our assignment is to connect with regional developments.

Registration
Welcome to The Harlekijn primary school. We appreciate the interest you have shown in our school. Here follows a brief description of how to register your child.
In principle, all children are welcome in our school (irrespective of religion or origin) providing there is no waiting list. If you as parent are interested in our school, an appointment will be planned for an introduction and a tour of the school. During this appointment, you will receive information about the school, how lessons are given, support for teachers, teaching methods and parent participation. You are very welcome to ask questions. During this meeting, we would also like to learn about your son / daughter. This appointments take place preferably during school times so that you can see the school “in action”. Both parents and children should feel at home in the school.
The appointment is completely without any obligation. If required, a registration form will be provided after the appointment.
Children that change schools (older than 4 years) are not directly registered. Registration of these children is done after consultation with the previous school. A joint assessment is made to see if we can offer your child the optimal guidance.
Should you wish for an introduction to the Harlekijn, please make an appointment by calling 0499-490370 or send an email to harlekijn@skpo.nl.
You are most welcome.
